BA vs. PM: How Business Analysis Fits into the Project Management Discipline

This is a Pre-Recorded Webinar available for viewing on your own schedule.
We’ll email you instructions for viewing the same day we receive order notification.

In the not-so-distant past, the duties of the Business Analyst (BA) and the Project Manager (PM) were “just part of the job” and employees were expected to perform these roles in addition to their regular management and functional activities.  In recent years, however, BA and PM have evolved into their own, recognized disciplines.

BA and PM, to be sure, are different; yet one discipline is not a replacement for the other. In fact, it is vital to understand that these two disciplines are complementary to one another in the project delivery world. On the vast majority of projects, success can hinge on effectively integrating these two disciplines.

In this webinar, participants will gain better insight into how BA and PM can effectively complement one another.  Primary topics covered in this Web’n Learn include:

  • Similarities and Differences of the BA and PM Disciplines
  • Where BA fits into the PM Life Cycle
  • Potential Pitfalls and Careful Considerations of the BA-PM Integration
