Advanced and Applied Project Management

Advanced and Applied Project Management is a three-day, instructor-led, simulation-based, training class designed for experienced project management practitioners who wish to apply and enhance their fundamental project/program management skills.   The course is designed to re-introduce essential project management processes followed by hands-on application of skills using both a course case study and a project simulation tool.  Participants will take a realistic project from inception (initiation) through completion (closure).  Teams will develop key project artifacts and deliverables including:

Advanced and Applied Project Management is designed to help the project management practitioners improve their expertise through a combination of lecture, hands-on exercises, and simulation software. The simulation software allows class teams to carry a realistic project from beginning to end. These sessions will not only test the participants’ ability to plan, execute, and control the project, but also gain some valuable lessons learned from leading a project team with issues that we encounter on our every day projects. In addition to the simulation software sessions, teams will perform hands-on exercises in the following areas:
